http://www.tri-cityherald.com/901/story/223587.htmlPasco woman searching for daughter By Paula Horton, Herald staff writer Donna Garcia's daughter, Tiairra, 19, has been missing since Sunday. Garcia, seen here in her daughter's room, says she and Tiairra share a close relationship and that it is uncharacteristic for her to not call home. Donna Garcia was visibly upset as she sat on her daughter's bed wondering where the 19-year-old has been for the past four days. The Pasco woman last saw Tiairra Garcia on Sunday night when the young woman left to meet her boyfriend and his friend. She never returned to her east Pasco home. She didn't show up for her Monday morning shift at McDonald's and she hasn't called. "No one's heard from her," Donna Garcia said Thursday. "She usually calls me all the time. She calls me or she comes home." Garcia's called all her daughter's friends, tried to track down her boyfriend and posted fliers with Tiairra's picture and description around town. She reported her missing to Pasco police, but fears the worst. "I'm worried about my daughter," she said. "Something's not right." Pasco police detectives are actively investigating her disappearance, Capt. Jim Raymond said. "Ms. Garcia has not attempted to make contact with family or friends since leaving (Sunday) evening," Raymond said. "All of her ties to family and friends is here in the community. "Tiairra has never been missing before and has no reasons to be now." Garcia is 5-foot-7, weighs about 170 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a brown dress, black leggings and high heels. Anyone with information is asked to contact Pasco police at 545-3484 or 545-3421. Garcia said she called her daughter's boyfriend Monday after learning Tiairra didn't show up for work. She said he told her that they had gotten into a fight Sunday night and that she got out of a van near the Les Schwab ire center on Court Street and started walking. He said he didn't see her after that, she said. "It just doesn't add up," Garcia said. "I think she would have called one of her friends to come and pick her up. If that would have happened, I know she would have come home." Garcia's phone has been ringing constantly with friends and family calling to see if Tiairra has returned home or if there's any new information about what happened. Rumors are circulating around town, Garcia said, but she doesn't know what to believe. "I don't know what to say or think," Garcia said as she wiped away tears. "I hope she's OK. I just want my daughter home. I just want to find her." Print a poster: http://www.projectjason.org/aan/AAN_TiairraGarcia.pdf

http://www.kndo.com/Global/story.asp?S=8562661&nav=menu484_2_9Young Woman In Pasco Still MissingPosted: June 26, 2008 07:21 PM CDT Updated: June 27, 2008 11:04 AM CDT Searching for a Missing Pasco Woman PASCO, Wash.-- Tiairra Garcia's family says they last saw her on Sunday night. They've made flyers hoping someone will come forward with information about the 19-year-old woman. We talked to Garcia's mother Donna. She says when she last saw her daughter she was getting ready to go out with some friends on Sunday night. She was picked up at her house in Pasco, by her boyfriend and a friend of his. Garcia's mother says she has not heard from Tiairra since. She also says this is unusual behavior for Tiairra, because she usually calls her mother when she goes out for the night. "That's what I can't understand that she wasn't even called me to say mom I'm okay and hang up, that doesn't make sense," said Donna Garcia, Tiairra's mother. "None of her friends, her best friends haven't even heard from her, they don't know where she is," said Mario Garcia, one of Tiairra's brothers. Police say she is 5'7, and approximately a 170 pounds. She was last seen wearing a brown dress, black leggings and high heels. If you know where the young woman could be, you are asked to contact the Pasco Police Department at 545-3484.

http://www.tri-cityherald.com/945/story/233229.htmlWoman found in Sunnyside canal was killed by shot to chestBy Paula Horton, Herald staff writer An unidentified woman found dead Friday in a canal near Sunnyside was killed by a single shotgun wound to her chest, according to autopsy results. The woman still has not yet been identified, said Jack Hawkins, Yakima County deputy coroner. The body was found floating in a canal near Emerald Road at 7:50 p.m. Hawkins said investigators don’t have a time of death for the woman, but believe she was shot not too long before she was found. The woman had not been in the water for very long, he said. The victim is not the 19-year-old Pasco woman who has been missing for more than two weeks. Coroners checked dental records to confirm the woman is not Tiairra Garcia.
Garcia was last seen the evening of June 22 and was reported missing the next day after she failed to show up for work and her mother realized she hadn’t come home. She reportedly was last seen with her boyfriend, Marnicus Antonio Lockhard, and his friend, Ashone Mikah Hollinquest.
Pasco police have identified the two men as “persons of interest” in Garcia’s disappearance. Garcia is 5-foot-7, 170 pounds and was last seen wearing a brown dress, black leggings and high heels.
The unidentified woman found in the canal, believed to be Hispanic, is between 18 and 25. She is 5-foot-3, about 130 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. She has no tattoos or scars, Yakima County sheriff’s detectives said
She was wearing a black T-shirt, blue jean shorts, a silver watch, three rings on her right hand and large hoop earrings.Anyone with information about the death or the woman’s identification is asked to call Yakima County sheriff’s Detective Dave Johnson or Detective Jeff Perrault at 509-574-2567 or 509-574-2565.

http://www.kndu.com/global/story.asp?s=8644249Witnesses Saw Missing Woman in Pasco The Night Of Her DisappearanceJuly 8, 2008 PASCO, Wash.-- A Pasco mother continues to struggle with her daughter's disappearance, while police continue to follow leads to find her. "We haven't found her, she hasn't returned home, that is obviously very suspicious," said Captain Jim Raymond, from the Pasco Police Department. Tiairra Garcia has been missing since June 22nd. On that night her mother says Garcia's boyfriend and a friend of his picked her up from her house in Pasco. We know now they went to Joey's 1983 Restaurant and Lounge on Court Street. Staff at the restaurant told us Marnicus Lockhard and Ashone Hollinquest were at the restaurant that night. Police are looking for the men in connection with the woman's disappearance. "At this point is doesn't appear there's going to be a good outcome with finding her," said Raymond. Staff at Joey's didn't want to go on camera because of fear of retaliation. They tell us the night of the incident Lockhard, attacked another woman inside the restaurant. They say he's known for his aggressive behavior and usually carries a gun with him. Police say Lockhard is a convicted felon and has multiple warrants for drug trafficking. "You know he has some criminal tendencies in his background obviously, so you know some of the rumors on the street is that he is a person to be fearful of," said Raymond. Police say when people go missing, they usually hear from them within a few days. But this time they've had no luck. "In this instance there's been no contact from Miss Garcia at all, to her family or to any of her friends in the area," said Raymond.

Her friends held a car wash Sunday, to raise reward money for anyone with information about her disappearance. A portion of the funds will also help Garcia's family. Police say Garcia went out one night and never came back. Friends and family haven't heard from her since. "That's why we held the car wash, so that way people can remember her and still be out there looking for her," said Garcia's friend Erin Bass. "Because we're not going to give up on Tiairra." Garcia was last seen wearing a brown dress, black leggings and high heels. If you have any information, please call Pasco Police.

http://www.keprtv.com/news/25781119.htmlA Month Missing: Inside the Tiairra Garcia InvestigationStory Published: Jul 22, 2008 at 5:32 PM PDT By Molly Kelleher Video PASCO - Tiairra Garcia has been missing now for a month. Action News goes inside the investigation of missing 19 year old. Wednesday marks a month since anyone last saw Tiairra. There have been lots of leads but still no sign of of the teen. Now Pasco police say they don't expect to find her alive. Jamie Raebel is the lead detective assigned the case. Everyone from from patrol officers to volunteer police and just about everyone in this department has spent man hours on this case. But for detective Raebel, investigating Tiairra's disappearance is a 24-7 job. "I feel guilty if I take a day off because you the family is missing their loved one," said Raebel. Interview after interview, phone call after phone call, information is coming in and police say they have an idea of what happened. But because this is an ongoing investigation, they can only keep to the basics. They say the 19-year old is no runaway, she's missing and possibly dead. Investigators say two guys know something about it. Tiairra was last seen with her boyfriend Marnicus Lockhard, he also goes by "Pooh". Investigators also want to talk to Ashone Hollinquest "We are looking for them but we think they have fled the area but also people in the area know something and can put us on the right track," said Captain Jim Raymond. "It's very frustrating. People are afraid to talk hopefully some common decency and someone finally comes forward," said Raebel. The focus is East Pasco, police have been out in neighborhoods talking to people but now they're also combing fields looking for any sign of Tiairra. "She's probably going to be found in a shallow grave or a field somewhere in the area near the river," said Raymond. Investigators are fairly certain a crime occurred, now they need evidence and the family needs closure. If you have any information about the disappearance of Tiairra Garcia please call Pasco Police Department Investigative Services Division at 509-545-3484 or 509-545-3421.

http://www.kndo.com/Global/story.asp?S=8718811&nav=menu484_2Pasco Woman Missing For 30 Days. Police Think She Could Be DeadPosted: July 22, 2008 08:16 PM CDT
Updated: July 23, 2008 12:56 PM CDTPASCO, Wash.-- Thirty days have gone by and still no contact from Tiairra Garcia. The 19-year old Pasco woman went missing last month. Her mother puts her feelings in three words. "Angry, scared, sad," said Donna Garcia, Tiairra's mother. Donna Garcia has set up a shrine at her house. Small but full of hope. "It's just candles, lighting candles for her to find her way home," said Garcia. But finding it's way to police are more leads on this case. Police are looking for Marnicus Lockhard and Ashone Hollinquest. Both men were last seen with Garcia on the night she went missing. "We believe that both these persons of interest have fled the area," said Captain Jim Raymond, from the Pasco Police Department. A friend of the young woman has been trying to raise money for her reward, and is hoping to see her again. "I'm hoping to get people to realize that this ain't no joke, this is a missing person, we need to find her," said Guillermo Cardenas, one of Tiairra's friends. Police say with no word from Garcia in a month, it's possible she could be dead. "There's a strong possibility that Tiairra is deceased and that for lack of a better term, has been dumped or buried or concealed," said Raymond. Still they're asking anyone with information to speak up. "Call us if they see anything that is suspicious as far as debris that doesn't belong in a field, you know odors that might be in the air," said Raymond. Garcia may be missing, but she's present in the hearts of many. "There are people waiting for her to come back home," said Cardenas.

http://www.tri-cityherald.com/945/story/249017.htmlCRIME: Police want public to report places where woman’s body could have been dumpedBy Paula Horton, Herald staff writer Wednesday, Jul. 23, 2008 It’s been a month since Pasco police began searching for a 19-year-old Pasco woman and investigators now are asking the public to report any suspicious sites where a body may have been dumped. Tiairra Garcia has been missing since June 22 when she left home for a night out with her boyfriend, Marnicus Antonio Lockhard, 29, and his friend, Ashone Mikah Hollinquest, 22. She was last seen late that night leaving Joey’s Restaurant & Bar in the 1800 block of Court Street with Lockhard and Hollinquest, Pasco police Capt. Jim Raymond said. Donna Garcia reported her daughter missing the next day after she received a call saying Tiairra hadn’t show up for her work shift at McDonald’s. Investigators suspect Garcia’s been killed and her body has likely been buried or covered by debris. “We’ve been focusing (our search) in the east side of Pasco and the fields over there, but it’s like hunting for a needle in a haystack,” Raymond said. “We believe there’s people out there who know where she’s been dumped.” Investigators now want people who are out camping or enjoying the summer weather to keep a look out for anything that looks peculiar or report any suspicious odors. Vacant fields, lots or areas along the river banks could be possible dumping sites, Raymond said. Pasco police are also looking for Lockhard and Hollinquest, but believe they fled the area to avoid being questioned. Tiairra Garcia is 5-foot-7, weighs about 170 pounds, and has brown eyes and wavy, shoulder-length brown hair. She was last seen wearing a brown dress, black leggings and high heels. Anyone with information about the men or Tiairra Garcia’s disappearance should call Pasco police at 509-545-3484 or 509-545-3421. Tips can also be made through Tri-Cities Crime Stoppers at 509-586-8477 or tricitiescrimestoppers.org
