Jasmine Earl’s Vehicle Found!

by IndependentConservative @ 8:23 pm. Filed under Questionable Items

Jasmine’s mother is reporting that Jamine’s 1989 Blue chevy Astro van was found, but they still have not located Jasmine. This is a big break in this case, but any information anyone can provide would help even more.

I think this latest news supports the view that she is not a “runaway”. If she was a runaway, she probably would have been found with the van.

A so called “runaway” that probably never did
by IndependentConservative @ 11:10 pm.

I normally don’t say much about missing people here. Simply because there are so many and there are other great sites devoted to finding missing people. Those sites do a great job in the effort to find missing people.

But this particular case is different. Maybe I’m only posting it here because I’m shocked at how it is being handled and hope to bring light to that issue. Because while nobody wants to ever have a loved one missing, it’s worse to have one missing and have them misclassified. A classification that probably dilutes the seriousness of the situation, since that classification probably is misplaced in this particular case. And I do not want it to happen to others.

The picture above is of 18 year old Jasmine Unique Earl. (Was 18 when last seen, but born on October 22, 1986.) CBSNews 46 Atlanta did an excellent report about this and before reading any further, I ask that you watch the report via this link.

The problem here is that this young woman has been missing for 6 months, her family has not mentioned any domestic issues, but police have classified her as a runaway. This classification was made because of her age and since no signs of an abduction were found. But isn’t a well adjusted person missing a good enough sign that something bad probably happened? I would have thought so. And there are plenty of other missing 18 year olds that are never given this classification.

Basically the family and police have no leads. She was last seen with her 1989 Blue chevy Astro van, GA license plate 903 LAA.

Other details about Ms. Earl are available here and here.

Now I’m sure someone seeing that she is Black is ready to drop a hot pan of race bait on this and claim she’s been classified a runaway because of her race. But the county she lives in is Dekalb County, Georgia. Dekalb County’s Sheriff is a Black man. The Sheriff’s department is taking any information that will lead to finding her. The county’s CEO (their version of a mayor) is a Black man. The Black population is over 50% and I’ve been told it’s the 2nd richest majority Black county in the nation. And yes, most of this area is under Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney. You can get all the demographics you want about the county at this page.

So no race bait please. The officials running things in this area are Black.

I guess the (more than likely) misplaced classification can be blamed on class. It’s not like she was driving a Bently and has multi-millionaire parents. Regardless the reason, I don’t find it to be good or right.

I just find this classification of her being deemed a “runaway” to be very sad. This young woman probably did not run away. And her family needs all the help they can get. Claiming she is a runaway causes people to ignore this case and think that maybe there was trouble in the home, which has not been the case. Dekalb County law enforcement needs a better classification for cases like this. Her parents are praying Christians, just hoping to find their daughter. If you know anything, please pass it on to the authorities.

Jasmine Earl’s mother answers some questions about her missing daughter
by IndependentConservative @ 10:30 pm. Filed under Questionable Items

This is an addendum to my previous post A so called “runaway” that probably never did. Please read that, if you have not read it already.

With some help from Cynne’ Simpson, I was able to get in touch with Jasmine Earl’s mother and ask her about her missing daughter being classified as a “runaway”.

Below are my questions and her answers:

My Q and A with the mother of Jasmine Earl (answers are in bold text)

1) Were there any issues in your relationship with Jasmine, that you feel might cause her to run away?

There were no problems at home. We are a close family. Jasmine and I were very close and everyone that knows us will declare this.

2) Did police offer any reasons for calling her a “runaway” except for the fact she went missing at age 18?

Her age is the only thing that they used to declare her a runaway.

3) Do you feel the classification of “runaway” is correct for your situation?

I feel if they had used missing, maybe even disappearance would have been more appropriate. I also feel getting it in the media sooner would have aided in locating her even if she is a runaway.

4) Do you know if a different classification would have brought more resources to bear in this case?

I do feel a different classification would have helped. The public does not respond to hearing about a runaway with the same interest. I continue to have regard for the law enforcement. I never had any previous contact with them. I’ve had only one speeding ticket. I do realize, with this being my child everything they have done will never seem enough.

Now just think if this was your child. No disrespect to law enforcement intended. You know here at IndependentConservative.com that police are given the highest regard. But if this was your child, you had a close relationship and she went missing. Then she was classified as a “runaway”. Wouldn’t you feel a big mistake was made?

All I’m asking, is if you can somehow help please do so. If nothing else, spread the word.
