Gaffney woman seeks public's help in finding her daughter who has been missing since 1991

By TARA JENNINGS Ledger Staff Writer tara@gaffneyledger.com

A Gaffney woman is pleading for the public's help in finding her daughter who has been missing since April 3, 1991.

Mary Ellen Cobb said her daughter, Tina Marie Crouch, was 20 years old when she said she was going to the store and never returned.

Crouch would be 36 years old today. She has never contacted her family since her disappearance.

She was about 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighed 110 pounds when she went missing. She was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, a light purple jacket and athletic shoes.

She is white with brown eyes and brown hair, but may have dyed it blonde, and has pierced ears. She has a scar on the right side of her abdomen and may have a tattoo of a rose on her ankle.

Cobb said her daughter was last seen with a man in the Jackson Street area. She disappeared about four hours after her family ran off her boyfriend, Cobb said.

Cobb said it wasn't like her daughter to leave without taking personal belongings such as her clothes, makeup and curling iron, with her.

"Her room is still full of her stuff," Cobb said. "I just hope there's a chance that somebody has seen her."

Crouch is listed on the Web site for The National Center for Missing Adults at www.missingadults.org. She is also listed as missing in the National Crime Information Center.

Anyone with information on Crouch's disappearance should contact the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office at (864) 489-4722.
